This is class 8 of the 8 week series. This week we’ll continue practicing the self-defense techniques for escaping when an attacker is on top of you, and add in getting away when an attacker is in between your legs. These defenses are also effective when a man you have chosen to be intimate with starts going too far and doesn’t respect “No” or “Stop”.
This one-hour Class starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017. This class is hosted by Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu Club, a family-friendly hybrid grappling school. These classes are expressly NOT sport Jiu-Jitsu, and the self-defense techniques taught span a multitude of martial arts disciplines.
The curriculum for the women’s self-defense classes addresses violence against women (the content is not appropriate for girls under age 12), and focuses on the most effective escape techniques for the most common attacks by strangers, acquaintances, and intimate partners.
Classes are taught by women, and men other than the co-instructors (so you can practice with realistic size and strength) are not permitted to attend. Please review all of our FAQs.
